Individual Counselling
I am trained in Person-Centred Therapy (B.counselling), that believes in our innate tendency and capacity to self-actualise.
I will see you as an expert caretaker of your own life, and work with you to deepen your understanding of yourself. In your sessions with me, I often incorporate a focus on mindfulness approach and breathing. |
We may also look at neuroscience to explain the integrated relationship of mind and body.
I am very interested in Daniel Siegel’s Mindsight Work. So that means, for me, I am open to the idea of neuro-plasticity. I tend to put trust in our capacity to change our brain, and change the way we respond to life and the experiences we have.
As we become more aware of where our attention is going and understand what is going on within us, then we are more able to respond to the outer world with calmness, rather than reacting in impulsive manner.

The Power of Listening
I always loved listening, and now I am a trained provider of, as Carl Rogers calls it, un-appreciated listening.
This is real listening; giving focused attention, being deeply curious about your story. I believe this is where one feels truly heard and understood. Some refer to this experience as being “held in one’s heart”. |
This listening is the one I endeavour to provide when you come to see me.
Some will call this an “encounter”, and I believe this is the moment one begins to excavate a buried treasure chest within our being, and get in contact with one’s inner world.
I know in my bones that this is important to us but I am also aware that it is increasingly difficult to find it nowadays.
I am committed to working towards creating this kind of encounter; one that could bring clarity, stability, creativity and healing into your life.
